Pasture-Raised, Heritage-Breed, Antibiotic-Free, Hormone-Free, GMO-Free. Our heritage breeds are introduced to fresh pasture every few days with rotational grazing consisting of alfalfa, birdsfoot trefoil, clovers, perennial grasses, and rape, a highly nutritious plant in the broccoli, kale, cabbage family. In the fall they munch on apples, chestnuts, and acorns, adding a sweet nutty flavor to their meat. Our pigs are also fed certified organic grains, supplemented with organic alfalfa, kelp, flaxseed, and other nutrients. Almost no corn or soy are part of their diet. This makes for very flavorful pork, high in vitamin A and rich in Omega 3.
